Ayelet and Shirin visiting Japan (06.2005)

The families forum representatives were invited to participate in the memorial ceremony marking 60 years of the dropping of the atomic bombs in Japan. One Israeli, one Palestinian and a few hundred Cranes.


Ayelet Shahak and Shirin Tarek were invited to Japan as representatives of the families forum to participate the memorial ceremony  marking 60 years of the dropping of the  atomic bombs.

Ayelet and Shirin brought with them a few hundred Origami Cranes that we made during rhe days of the Sulha festival (A peace festival). The Origami Cranes were made according to the tradition that developed in Japan following Sadako's life story.
