"Sawubona" - Conflict Resolution Workshop, Georgetown, Washington DC, U.S.A. 2008

ImageAt the end of October (29- 30.10.2008), PCFF members were invited for a three-day Conflict Resolution workshop at Georgetown University. The idea of the seminar came from President John J. DeGioia, the President of Georgetown University, who met Robi Damelin and Ali Abu Awwad, when he was in Israel.

Peace Sign 2008

Image The PCFF marked the International Peace Day 2008, with visits to Ni'lin and Kfar Aza and with awarding the Peace Sign.

Peace Day 2008 - Kfar Aza

Image The idea was to express, at the same time, our empathy to people from both sides who suffer daily from the ongoing conflict. A group of mostly Palestinian PCFF members and some Israeli members went to Kfar Aza (near Sderot), to give our support and express our deep sorrow for the loss of a bereaved family from the Kibbutz.

Peace Day 2008 – Ni'lin

ImageA group of PCFF members, most of them Israelis, went to Ni'lin near the Hashmonaim settlement and not far from Modi’in. We had come to listen to the villagers, to give our support in their non-violent way and express our deep sorrow for the loss of two bereaved families from the village.
