A Chinese lanterns Presentation for International Peace Day

Israeli and Palestinian Forum members and friends met, on the 20 of September, an evening before International Peace Day, to build together with the artist Adi Yakutieli a flashlights presentation.

The artist Adi Yakutieli planned and decorated each Chinese lantern with two figures having a dialog and above it the Forum motto in Hebrew and Arabic; "It won't stop until we talk".

The Forum members and friends met in Talita Kumi, a seminar center which belongs to the Church and is located in Beit Jalla (between Bethlehem and Jerusalem).

Adults and children assembled the Chinese lanterns together and when it was all ready, came into the big hall, in which the presentation was held, carrying a lantern and putting it on the floor, until they were all standing around hundreds of lanterns.

A minute of silence was held for the memory of all the victims of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Short speeches were carried by the two General Managers of the Forum; Khaled Abu Awwad and Boaz Kitain and the artist Yakutieli. The special meeting was sealed with a common dinner.
